1st Annual Family Connecticut River Munn's Ferry Paddle Overnight, Northfield, MA

Family Date: Sat September 8, 2018 - Sun September 9, 2018

Join Family Outings for our first annual Connecticut River Paddle Overnight. We put in at Pauchaug Brook, Northfield, MA Saturday late morning and paddle ~ 5.6 miles down the River to Munn's Ferry where we camp Saturday night. Sunday after breakfast we pack up and get an early start to avoid the wind. We paddle ~ 3.2 miles to an early lunch at Riverview Picnic and Recreation Area and then another 5.3 miles to our take-out at Barton's Cove.

We supply the boats and Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast (you bring your own snacks and lunch). We do group cooking and everyone pitches in. Accommodations are campsites with 13 x 13 sand filled pads each of which hold 2 two man tents or one 4 + man tent. There are fire pits and steal grills for cooking at each site and a privy with toilet paper. There is no running water so we will need to bring or treat water.

Some paddling experience necessary. Trip limited to 12 - 14 people. $50/person includes campsite, food, boats.
