Ice Skating @ City Hall Plaza

Let's check out the skating path around the Boston sign in City Plaza. We'll meet at the rink at 7pm, and skate until we are tired or the venue closes (9pm). After skating, feel free to join us after at a nearby restaurant for snacks or drinks.

Craftsbury VT Cross Country Ski Weekend

Come join us in rural Craftsbury VT at one of the largest and most scenic cross country ski networks in New England! The registration fee of $220 includes two nights lodging in double occupancy rooms, three meals a day (Fri dinner to Sun lunch), and access to the ski trail system for 3 days. Winter Kinsmans

Young Members Date: Sat February 10, 2018

Join AMC Young Members as we head up the Kinsmans! Expect a moderately paced winter hike to North and South Kinsman via the Mt. Kinsman trail (the western approach). Weather permitting, we hope to enjoy some views of Franconia Ridge from the north summit, as well as some vistas along the way. This hike will be approximately 10 miles round trip with 3,900 ft of elevation gain. Please have some winter hiking experience.

Required winter hiking gear includes among other things: Microspikes or Hillsounds (no substitutes allowed), insulated winter boots, crampons, snowshoes, gaiters, and waterproof layers. A decision on what traction to carry with us will be made at the trailhead, dependent on weather conditions. Intermediate Cross-Country Skiing at Windblown 2/11

Cross-country skiing at Windblown! Windblown is only 1.5 hours from Boston and has 40 km of trails. We may split the group in half depending on skill level and what people want to do. Some cross-country experience required. We will ski for a few hours in the morning, break for lunch, and ski for a few more hours after lunch. Windblown has a cafe, but please also bring snacks, plenty of water, and extra warm layers for yourself.

Winter Sports Weekend in Quebec

Spend Presidents Day weekend in the winter wonderland of southern Quebec at Mt Orford National Park. Activities include your choice of cross country and downhill skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, fatbiking, local sightseeing tour, or a visit to the spa.

Trip fee of $210 includes three nights lodging double occupancy with ensuite bath, three breakfasts, and three dinners. Limited to 60 participants. Registration closes on February 1. XC Ski Weekend at the NH Chocolate Festival!

Join us for a ski/ snowshoeing weekend Feb.23-25, which is also the weekend of the famous New Hampshire Annual Chocolate Festival in North Conway - Sunday the 25th of February. Known by many as the 'Sweetest Day on the Trails", this may be the only day of the year when chocolate indulgence is totally guilt-free! Chocoholics, join us to cross-country ski the trails and enjoy chocolate prepared every way imaginable!

Participants can take their pick between cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. We will be skiing at an easy to moderate pace. We will stay at a cozy cabin which can accommodate 12 and includes a basement with foosball, pool table, air hockey, and ping pong table! Meals include Saturday dinner and breakfast both days.

Trip costs: $145 for member $165 for non-members; price cost includes 2 nights stay, snacks and (Saturday dinner), breakfast both days, and Chocolate Festival Pass ($30) for Sunday.

Bring money for trail lunches, and ski rental/tickets for Saturday.

Notch Your Ordinary YM Winter Hiking Weekend

Join us for a stay at the Notch Hostel in winter! We will offer three hikes each day that provide a variety of hiking challenges (from C4D-AA2B). Who: Participants must have some winter hiking experience. Participants that are currently enrolled in the AMC's Winter hiking program or that have taken the Winter hiking program previously are welcome on this trip. This weekend is for participants that are excited to spend a weekend in the White Mountains and that want to meet other like minded hikers and share in the winter hiking experience.
