Visit two AMC favorites. Galehead Hut is the most remote of the AMC High Huts with glorious views of the Pemigawasset Wilderness Area. Zealand Falls Hut is spectacularly situated on the side of Zealand Valley near Zealand Falls at the northern end of the Pemigewasset wilderness.

Meet Saturday morning 9 am at the Gale River Trailhead to shuttle cars to our endpoint, the Zealand Trail trailhead. After the steep climb to the summit of South Twin Mtn. elev. 4,902 ft.(0.8 mi., 1,150ft.,1 hr.) the trail goes mostly downhill, with a minimal climb up to the summit of Guyot (4,580 feet), and a short but steep climb up to Zealand Mountain (4,265 feet). There are 360° views from the summits of South Twin and Guyot. Peakbaggers will get both South Twin and Zealand Mountain.

Monday, we hike out the Zealand Trail 2.8 miles with 650 feet elevation loss to our cars.
