Family Dexter Drumlin Full Moon Walk, Lancaster, MA

Family Date: Sat January 26, 2019

By the light of the silvery moon, AMC Families will join Lancaster Recreation for a night of good winter fun at Dexter Drumlin in Lancaster 6-8pm (aka, George Hill). Follow the footpath lit by the "almost full moon" (full January 21) to the top of the drumlin where will have a campfire and hot chocolate ready to go. Bring your snowshoes and sleds (or not, weather and conditions dependent).

What makes Dexter Drumlin special? As the last glacier scoured the New England landscape, it formed glacial drumlins....Hills running parallel to the direction of the glacial flow. The Dexter Drumlin was formed over 10,000 years ago. The Dexter Drumlin is part of a 35 acre reservation that is saturated with lush meadows, hay fields, and wet lands. This typical New England terrain shares it's boundary with the historic Nashua River. Dexter Drumlin offers views of historic Lancaster and its surrounding farmland.
